About the role

A&L Goodbody is looking for bright, personable and enthusiastic lawyers to join its Disputes & Investigations team, described as the leading disputes and investigations team in the Irish market. The team resolves complex, high-value and cross-border commercial disputes through litigation, arbitration, mediation, negotiation and expert determination, and combines this with regulatory and white-collar expertise for corporate crisis work. Clients include major Irish and global companies in tech, financial services, life sciences, real estate, asset management, manufacturing, automotive, retail, agri-food and gaming.

Required profile

• Solicitor with 4+ years of relevant PQE gained in a large, medium or boutique corporate law firm, or relevant in-house experience.
• Open to solicitors practising locally or considering returning to Ireland.

Required skills

• Advising on disputes and contentious issues for technology companies.
• Advising on business-critical commercial disputes and claims brought by groups of customers.
• Deploying dispute resolution methods such as litigation, mediation, expert determination and arbitration.
• Defamation claims and cases.
• White-collar crime affecting corporates (fraud, bribery/corruption, money laundering, corporate offences).
• Engaging with regulators such as the Data Protection Commission, Comisiún na Meán and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, including dawn raids.
