About the role

The Duty Manager will lead early and late shifts at the Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney, ensuring smooth hotel operations and a high‑standard guest experience. Working closely with departmental managers, the role blends operational oversight, guest care, compliance, and event support in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead early and late Duty Manager shifts, coordinating staff and ensuring seamless hotel operations.
• Collaborate with departmental managers to confirm all areas are open, fully staffed, and meeting guest‑service standards.
• Engage directly with guests, resolve issues promptly, and maintain a proactive, guest‑centric approach.
• Conduct daily fire walks, safety checks, and complete operational reports to ensure compliance with hotel policies.
• Support large‑scale events and assist other departments as needed to guarantee flawless service delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a senior supervisor or manager in Food & Beverage, or as a Duty Manager in a smaller property.
• Proven experience in high‑volume events, hospitality, or F&B operations.
• Level 7 qualification (or equivalent) in hotel management, tourism, event management, or a related discipline.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work confidently with multiple stakeholders.
• Adaptable, energetic, and comfortable in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
