Early Years Educator – Galway (Return of Hours)

About the role

Enable Ireland is seeking a motivated Early Years Educator to work in its specialised preschool and play‑session services in Galway City. The role supports babies, toddlers and young children with complex needs, delivering high‑quality early years provision.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities using the Aistear Siolta curriculum for children with additional support needs.
• Provide personal care and support to babies and toddlers, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with families and staff.
• Assist with hydrotherapy sessions and other specialised programmes as required.

Required profile

• QQI Level 6 major award in childcare.
• Experience working with babies, toddlers and young children.
• Proven ability to implement the Aistear Siolta curriculum.
• Experience delivering personal care to individuals.
• Strong awareness of health and safety issues.
• Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Aistear Siolta curriculum implementation.
• Manual and patient handling (FAR) training.
• Children’s First first‑aid training.
