Employment Law Director (Global)

About the role

Our client, a Dublin‑headquartered global business, is looking for a senior employment lawyer to become the Group’s primary legal authority on workforce matters across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will shape employment law strategy, advise senior leadership and HR, and ensure compliant, commercially effective practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the group’s employment litigation strategy and manage external counsel in four jurisdictions.
• Support complex restructuring programmes and advise on both contentious and non‑contentious employment issues.
• Provide proactive legal advice to senior leadership and HR on policy, contracts, and compliance.
• Develop and implement consistent employment law frameworks across the international footprint.
• Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and other legal documents.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) admitted to practice in Ireland, an EU jurisdiction, the UK, or another major jurisdiction relevant to the group.
• 8+ years post‑qualification experience with substantive employment law exposure.
• In‑house experience essential; secondments or law‑firm background considered.
• Proven track record managing employment litigation and coordinating external counsel across jurisdictions.
• Experience in a multinational corporate environment; strong drafting and communication skills.
