Engineer, PC Apps

About the role

Dolby is looking for a PC Applications Engineer to join its Client Applications team. You will work on consumer‑facing, client‑side software that reaches millions of users across devices such as smartphones, desktops and home entertainment systems.

Key responsibilities

• Implement new features and improvements in existing Windows applications using established architectures and coding standards.
• Maintain and evolve components across Dolby’s portfolio of client applications.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code while collaborating with senior engineers.
• Participate in code reviews, incorporate feedback and continuously improve code quality.
• Work closely with QA, product and design teams to deliver reliable releases.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot issues across application and platform layers.

Required profile

• Professional experience in software development.
• Hands‑on experience with C# and Windows application frameworks such as UWP or WinUI.
• Basic understanding of C++ or experience with native components.
• Experience building desktop or other client‑side applications.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code within an existing codebase.
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback and grow technical ownership.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
