Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead and develop a high‑performing engineering team in Galway, driving operational performance, continuous improvement and delivery of engineering objectives that support business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the engineering team.
• Manage engineering priorities, resources and project delivery.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, OEE and process optimisation.
• Support preventative‑maintenance and operational‑excellence activities.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Quality and other departments.
• Lead problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis and corrective actions through the QMS.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets and departmental performance.
• Support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (preferably Polymer or Mechanical).
• Lean and/or Six Sigma qualification preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar engineering leadership role.
• Proven people‑management and stakeholder‑engagement experience.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
