Environmental Health & Safety Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Lead to join a high‑profile strategic client in County Kildare. Reporting to the Strategic Account Director, you will be the senior on‑site champion for safety, responsible for embedding best‑in‑class health, safety and environmental practices across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain comprehensive H&S policies and procedures.
• Ensure full compliance with Irish and European regulations as well as client‑specific requirements.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections and safety reviews; analyse incident data and drive improvement plans.
• Lead accident and incident investigations, produce timely reports and manage corrective actions.
• Deliver training, toolbox talks and awareness programmes to foster a proactive safety culture.
• Act as the primary contact for client safety representatives and represent the company in safety meetings.
• Manage and develop a site‑based H&S team, coaching managers to adopt a proactive approach.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent) in Health & Safety.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Full right to work in Ireland.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining H&S policies and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead audits, incident investigations and safety training programmes.
