Estimator

About the role

Techrete is seeking a full‑time Estimator to join its Balbriggan office. You will become an integral part of the estimating team, supporting the delivery of architectural precast concrete facades.

Key responsibilities

• Measure facades and develop panelisation schemes.
• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications thoroughly.
• Maintain comprehensive records and ensure timely reporting to the Head of Estimating.
• Participate in pre‑, mid‑ and post‑tender meetings and provide cost advice to architects, PQS, developers and main contractors.
• Compile estimates, budgets and cost plans, analysing material, labour and equipment costs.
• Assess subcontractor and supplier quotes, identify risks and opportunities, and prepare quality tender submissions.
• Utilise 3D models, IT equipment, drawings and specifications for quantification.

Required profile

• A 3rd level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics is desirable; equivalent experience is also considered.
• Minimum 3–4 years’ experience with a subcontractor, contractor or PQS practice.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
