EU Competition & Procurement Lawyer

About the role

A&L Goodbody is recruiting qualified lawyers with 1 to 4 years' post-qualification experience to join its growing EU, Competition and Procurement team in Dublin. The team advises domestic and global corporations and state and semi-state entities on all aspects of EU, competition and public procurement law, working closely with the Corporate and M&A, Disputes and Investigations groups and the Client Technology team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop skills across the full spectrum of EU, competition and procurement law, including merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance and state aid.
• Advise on public procurement, foreign direct investment screening and the Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
• Cover telecoms and other types of regulation, and related EU and Irish litigation.
• Advise on domestic merger notifications and CCPC investigations, taking advantage of Ireland's position as a hub for multinationals.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 1 to 4 years' post-qualification experience.
• Ideally from a large or medium corporate law firm in Ireland or the United Kingdom.
• Excellent academic record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborative mindset and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
