Events and Community Manager – EMEA (Remote/Hybrid)

About the role

OpenAI is looking for an enthusiastic Events and Community Manager to support its Global Affairs team across the EMEA region. Reporting to the Head of OpenAI Academy and Forum, you will design, plan and execute both online and in‑person initiatives that advance the Academy’s mission and foster a vibrant community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Academy and Forum in day‑to‑day planning and execution of regional programming aligned with Global Affairs priorities.
• Design and deliver online webinars, panel discussions and in‑person trainings that are culturally relevant and locally informed.
• Manage event timelines, guest communications, vendor relationships, travel logistics and post‑event follow‑ups.
• Track KPIs, participant feedback and performance metrics, providing regular internal reporting.
• Oversee end‑to‑end event strategy, budgeting and delivery.
• Maintain content roadmaps for Academy and Forum events, ensuring alignment with community needs and organisational goals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (policy, communications, go‑to‑market) to maximise impact.
• Develop and execute community engagement plans, monitoring metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience planning and executing both virtual and physical events.
• Strong interest in AI and familiarity with automation workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Adaptable, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑changing environment.
• Fluent English; additional EU languages are a plus.
