Executive Director, Pricing, Access, Value & Evidence

About the role

The Executive Director, Pricing, Access, Value and Evidence will join BioMarin’s PAVE leadership team and report to the SVP, Head of Pricing, Access, Value and Evidence. This senior position is responsible for shaping and executing pricing and access strategies across intercontinental markets, including Latin America, APAC, MEA, Turkey and Russia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to overcome payer‑related barriers and support product launch, pricing and reimbursement.
• Monitor regional reimbursement environments, track government policy initiatives and assess commercial implications for both marketed and pipeline products.
• Leverage market research, advisory boards and field inputs to stay abreast of market trends and dynamics.
• Collaborate with Country Managers, Area Directors and Global PAVE teams (HEOR, Pricing, V&A) to analyze policy impacts and prepare reimbursement dossiers.
• Participate in brand, government contracts/pricing, and other commercial teams, ensuring alignment with field sales, market planning, marketing and commercial operations.
• Work closely with corporate groups such as Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Medical Affairs to monitor legislative and regulatory developments.
• Support the development of government programs for reimbursement of orphan drugs and rare diseases.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in pricing, market access, health economics or related fields within the biotech/pharma industry.
• Deep understanding of global reimbursement landscapes and payer strategies.
• Strong analytical abilities to translate policy changes into commercial actions.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work across cross‑functional and regional teams.
• Ability to lead strategic planning and drive implementation across diverse markets.
