Field Service Engineer

About the role

MSR-FSR is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support its semiconductor customers across Europe. The role involves on‑site installation, maintenance, and repair of high‑value semiconductor equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor capital equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate within a dynamic team and maintain accurate service reports.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, electrical schematics, and gases knowledge.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and follow standard procedures.
• Instruct customers on operation and maintenance, acting as the company liaison for technical matters.

Required profile

• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel; EU work authorisation.
• Minimum 1 year of technical or mechanical experience.
• Professional level English communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer‑focused with good time‑management and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Interpretation of technical drawings, mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of gases, electronics, pneumatics and vacuum systems.
• Maintenance of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
