Finance Analyst

About the role

EllisDon is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Area Accountant or Finance Manager across its Canadian and Ireland operations. The role involves handling month‑end close activities, generating financial reports, and ensuring accurate financial data for the EllisDon Facilities Services (EDFS) business.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close processes for Canadian and Ireland sites.
• Generate and distribute reports from the financial/accounting system.
• Analyze periodic financial data to assist with due diligence on statements.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements for sites.
• Perform variance analysis on profit & loss statements each month.
• Maintain management reports for projects and overhead against budgets.
• Monitor aged receivables to ensure timely collections.
• Participate in model audits used for bidding new projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements and support audit requests.
• Validate MSP billings and additional billings against service agreements.
• Support financial system transitions, from testing controls to new process setup.
• Review monthly Performance Monitoring Reports (PMR) for each site.

Required profile

• Experience supporting month‑end close for multi‑site operations.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and variance reports.
• Familiarity with audit processes and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail in monitoring receivables and billing accuracy.
• Capability to work with financial systems during transitions.
