About the role

Mindrift is seeking experienced machine learning specialists to contribute to project‑based AI initiatives. As a freelance ML developer you will design and implement computational STEM problems that simulate real scientific workflows, ensuring they are challenging and require advanced Python programming.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational problems that mimic scientific processes.
• Create Python‑based tasks that are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Develop problems that demand non‑trivial reasoning chains and creative problem‑solving.
• Verify solutions using standard Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit‑learn).
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on machine‑learning experience with demonstrable business impact.
• Portfolio of completed projects or publications showcasing real‑world problem solving.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).

Required skills

• Python programming for data science.
• NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit‑learn, statsmodels.
• SQL and database operations for data manipulation.
• Experience with GenAI technologies (LLMs, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, prompt engineering, vector databases).
• Understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with modern frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and LangChain.
