Front Desk Receptionist – Hotel

About the role

The Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is looking for a friendly and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our four‑star team. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, manage check‑ins and check‑outs, and respond to inquiries or complaints promptly.
• Handle bookings, maintain accurate guest records, and process payments.
• Resolve guest concerns, coordinate with housekeeping, food & beverage, and other departments.
• Ensure reception procedures comply with health, safety, and data‑protection regulations.
• Prepare regular reports on occupancy, guest feedback, and front‑desk performance.
• Promote hotel services, room upgrades, and local experiences to boost satisfaction and revenue.
• Maintain a tidy and organized reception area at all times.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a receptionist or front‑office role, preferably in hospitality.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Strong multitasking ability and meticulous attention to detail.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
• Calm under pressure, quick decision‑making, and effective problem‑solving.
• Willingness to work varied shifts and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Additional languages are a plus for serving international guests.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel reservation systems such as Opera and Alkimii.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
