Frontend AI Engineer (Remote Contract)

About the role

Newpage Solutions is seeking a Frontend AI Engineer to create the user‑facing surfaces where AI outputs meet real users. You will design streaming chat interfaces, dense dashboards, and multi‑view visualisations that make non‑deterministic AI systems feel trustworthy.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to translate ambiguous ideas into shipping interfaces.
• Co‑shape interaction patterns for AI‑driven experiences, including streaming responses, evidence citations, and confidence cues.
• Build production‑grade front‑ends using React 18+ with TypeScript and Next.js (App Router) or equivalent meta‑frameworks.
• Implement streaming UI patterns (Server‑Sent Events, streaming fetch, optimistic updates, partial rendering).
• Develop real‑time dashboards with multi‑level drill‑down and custom visualisations using Recharts, Visx, D3.js, Plotly or ECharts.
• Create component architectures grounded in design systems and Tailwind CSS.

Required profile

• Strong experience building complex front‑end applications with React and TypeScript.
• Comfort working in AI‑assisted development workflows and handling evolving requirements.
• Ability to collaborate across product, design and engineering teams.
