Full‑time Truck Driver (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time, permanent Truck Driver to join our team at HPC Sales Ltd., a leading builder‑supplies and DIY retailer in Ireland. The role involves delivering orders to customers across multiple locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Check orders and dockets before departure and secure loads.
• Plan delivery schedules and routes in collaboration with the Branch Manager.
• Perform daily vehicle and load inspections and report any incidents.
• Execute multi‑drop and branch‑to‑branch runs, covering both short and long distances.
• Obtain customer signatures on proof of delivery (POD) and return them promptly.
• Maintain accurate driver’s logbook with required readings and commodity details.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Full clean driving licence with C licence entitlement.
• CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence) valid and up‑to‑date.
• Excellent time‑keeping and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and good communication skills.
• Motivated team player who can also work independently.
• Good knowledge of local roads and surrounding areas.

Required skills

• Valid CPC qualification.
• Experience operating heavy goods vehicles.
• Ability to secure loads and perform vehicle checks.
