General Operative – Production Line

About the role

The General Operative ensures efficient and accurate filling of dairy products into tubs or foil, following detailed work instructions and maintaining high quality throughout production.

Key responsibilities

• Set up machine run parameters, including consul commands, ink‑jet printer positioning and product data entry based on manufacturing orders.
• Conduct X‑Ray tests, monitor metal detection systems, and clear any blockages or spills during production.
• Perform cleaning and CIP procedures, document completion and support scheduled maintenance.
• Adhere to health and safety KPIs, contributing to a strong safety culture on the site.

Required profile

• Proven manufacturing experience with a focus on continuous improvement and team training.
• Strong communication, organisational and administrative abilities, with flexibility to cover different shifts and weekends.
• Problem‑solving mindset, capable of diagnosing root causes and implementing practical solutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with database management.
• Ability to operate and adjust specialised filling equipment and ink‑jet printers.
