Global IP Counsel

About the role

Perrigo is seeking a commercially‑minded Global IP Counsel to protect and grow its worldwide intellectual property portfolio. Reporting to the Global IP Lead, you will collaborate with business units, internal legal teams and an external IP provider to ensure the company’s brands, innovations, formulations and packaging are well‑protected and aligned with growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day advice on trademarks, designs, copyrights, patents, trade secrets and domain names.
• Oversee the transition to an outsourced IP portfolio model, managing quality, efficiency and strategic alignment.
• Coordinate with the external IP provider, business stakeholders and internal counsel to maintain high‑quality service within budget.
• Assist in IP disputes, enforcement actions and litigation prevention.
• Draft and review IP‑related agreements, including licensing, co‑development and commercial contracts.
• Support IP due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
• Deliver IP training, tools and best‑practice guidance across the organization.
• Maintain data integrity on the IP platform and improve IP processes and systems.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in intellectual property law, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence internal and external partners.
