Global Operations Team Lead

About the role

Apple is seeking a Global Operations Team Lead to own IFRS 16 accounting across APAC, GC, EMEIA, and ALAC. The role drives process automation, system optimisation, and ensures compliance while collaborating with R2R accountants and business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the IFRS 16 team, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
• Define, track, and analyse KPIs to maximise IFRS 16 process performance.
• Conduct regular reviews of IFRS 16 calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Drive cross‑functional projects for seamless IFRS 16 implementation and system integration.
• Oversee the lease accounting system, championing automation initiatives.
• Interpret complex IFRS 16 guidance, manage bridge adjustments, and mitigate regulatory risk.
• Maintain governance, strengthen data accuracy, and manage audit relationships.
• Deliver timely and accurate IFRS 16 disclosures meeting all reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Excellent SAP or equivalent ERP knowledge.
• Accounting qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, etc.).
• 2‑3+ years experience in financial reporting, preferably multinational.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, including ASC 842, ASC 840, IFRS 16 and local GAAP.
