Global Technology Delivery Lead - Investment Operations

About the role

Mercer Investment Technology is looking for an experienced technology leader to support the operational platforms and projects for Mercer's Investments Business. The Global Technology Delivery Lead drives the development and implementation of technology solutions that meet the middle office, operational and compliance needs of the investment management business. The role reports to the Head of Investment Technology and works closely with business users, stakeholders and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Work on high-profile global initiatives with visibility of key stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Gather requirements, define product roadmaps and prioritize feature development using technology management and business analysis skills.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion, keeping them on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Work with both vendor and in-house built technology solutions in the investment technology space.
• Address operational challenges and optimize processes, designing proper support models.
• Adapt to both Agile and traditional project management models and use the relevant tools and practices.
• Help rationalize regional business technical needs against the Target Operating Model architecture so technology can be reused where appropriate.
• Represent technology in local forums and initiatives and raise issues and risks with the Investments Executive team.

Required profile

• Proven track record in technology delivery leadership roles, with strong business analysis, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.
• Experience with both vendor and in-house built technology solutions in investment technology.
• Ability to work independently and drive execution in a globally dispersed team, with good time management.
• A strong plus: certifications in project or agile management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in both Agile and traditional project management models.
• Background in technology delivery and management in investment management or funds administration, with knowledge of portfolio, fund and product administration.
• Extensive investment management experience and experience across the investment management technology architecture are a strong plus; experience with FactSet, State Street Alpha, Charles River and Investran is also a plus.

The role is based in Dublin and follows a hybrid model: colleagues are expected to be in their local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week, with anchor days for teams.
