Governance, Risk & Compliance Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Lead to own enterprise security governance for a global organisation operating in more than 80 countries. You will shape and maintain the governance framework, risk management processes and business resilience while embedding security‑by‑design and privacy‑by‑design principles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Security Governance function across the business.
• Review, rewrite and develop security policies aligned with ISO 27001 best practice.
• Own the enterprise risk management framework covering cyber, operational, enterprise and third‑party risk.
• Standardise risk reporting, governance processes and control frameworks.
• Strengthen cyber resilience through governance of security controls, vulnerability management, incident governance and assurance activities.
• Support business units in creating and maintaining effective Business Continuity Plans (BCP).
• Drive responsible AI adoption while meeting regulatory, audit and risk requirements.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in GRC, Information Security or Cyber Risk roles.
• Proven experience implementing ISO 27001 and operating within a certified ISMS.
• Strong enterprise‑scale governance and risk experience in large, complex organisations.
• Technical understanding of cyber security and its impact on business decisions.
• Experience leading enterprise, cyber and operational risk management programmes.
• Knowledge of Business Continuity Planning and organisational resilience.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are desirable.
