Graduate Software Engineer

About the role
We are looking for a recent graduate with a passion for software development to join our fast‑growing international organisation. This 2‑year Graduate Programme offers hands‑on experience on real‑world systems, international exposure and the chance to make a real impact. The role is based at our Head Office in Killarney, reporting to the IT Manager, with hybrid working options and the possibility of a 6‑month relocation to a sister company.
Key responsibilities
- Support the design, development and testing of software applications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements.
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code under guidance from senior developers.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging applications.
- Contribute to improving application performance, quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
- Support documentation and best‑practice development.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and develop.
Required skills
- Java (experience with Spring Boot is an advantage).
- Basic understanding of databases such as SQL and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with Docker, Azure or Linux (desirable).
- Awareness of CI/CD pipelines (advantage).
