Group Financial Accountant – 12‑Month Maternity Cover

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join our Dublin‑based Group Finance team on a 12‑month maternity cover. This is a high‑quality seat offering exposure to SEC reporting, global group consolidation and accounting systems within a leading insurance group.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the group close process and quarterly consolidation.
• Prepare SEC quarterly reporting packages and supporting workbooks.
• Execute group eliminations and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Administer the SUN General Ledger and provide system support.
• Liaise with external auditors during audit cycles.
• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong technical accounting foundation.
• Experience in the insurance sector is an advantage.
• Exposure to US GAAP is desirable.
• Confident user of Excel.
