Head of Finance – Europe

About the role

Based in Dublin on a hybrid schedule, the Head of Finance will lead Remitly Europe Limited’s finance function and act as the primary finance partner for the Europe business, one of the company’s fastest‑growing regions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking for the Europe send business.
• Build and maintain financial models to assess revenue drivers, unit economics, pricing strategy and market expansion opportunities.
• Own customer funds safeguarding procedures in line with PSD2/PSR 2018, including segregated accounts and monthly reconciliations.
• Ensure capital resources meet own‑funds requirements and manage wind‑down planning buffers.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audit and regulatory compliance, coordinating with external auditors and the global tax function.
• Partner with senior business leaders, the Board and global finance leadership to translate data into actionable insights.
• Develop and lead the REL finance team as the business scales.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 8–10+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Direct experience in a CBI‑regulated or equivalent European financial services firm, with strong knowledge of PSD2/PSR 2018 safeguarding requirements.
• Proven track record in FP&A, financial modelling, forecasting and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Strong background in financial controls, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
