Head of Supply Chain

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead all supply chain functions for its human and veterinary health pharmaceutical portfolio. The role is based onsite in Loughrea, Ireland, with a hybrid working model becoming available after the probationary period.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute global supply chain strategies aligned with manufacturing goals.
• Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) across Production, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams.
• Oversee demand planning, master production scheduling, capacity planning and strategic sourcing of APIs, excipients and packaging.
• Manage warehousing, inventory control, cold‑chain logistics and international freight optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP, HPRA, EMA and FDA regulations and support internal and external audits.
• Build, mentor and drive performance of a high‑performing supply chain team using KPIs such as OTIF, forecast accuracy and inventory turns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in pharmaceutical or life‑sciences supply chain.
• Deep knowledge of GMP, GDP and international regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage global suppliers, vendor performance and complex logistics networks.
