Head of Technology & Innovation

About the role

The charity, founded by neurodivergent parents, is looking for a Head of Technology & Innovation to unify its systems and drive new technological solutions. This senior position reports directly to the Chief Executive and can be performed on a hybrid basis, part‑time or full‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the integration and optimisation of core IT systems, devices, and online platforms to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Develop and implement data protection policies, staff training, and oversight to safeguard children’s data.
• Build an innovation practice from the ground up, including assistive communication tools, sensory technology, and internal platforms.
• Establish research partnerships with universities and secure funding for innovative projects.
• Provide operational support for planning, reporting, and strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Extensive senior technology leadership experience.
• Strong background in data protection and privacy compliance.
• Collaborative working style with a genuine commitment to neuro‑affirmative design.
• Values‑aligned, strategic yet hands‑on, comfortable building new functions from scratch.
