Histology Business Development Manager

About the role

This position supports a long‑standing diagnostics client by driving business development for histology products across hospital laboratories in Ireland. The role focuses on building relationships with biomedical scientists, lab managers, pathologists and procurement teams to expand the company’s footprint in the histology and pathology space.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and grow the hospital laboratory network across HSE and private sites.
• Identify new opportunities within histology workflows, instruments and consumables.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations and workflow discussions.
• Manage tender submissions, pricing proposals and contract renewals.
• Support product evaluations, training and onboarding within histology labs.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting and pipeline activity.
• Collaborate closely with internal technical, applications and customer support teams.

Required profile

• Strong network within HSE hospital laboratories.
• Proven experience selling technical products into histology, pathology or biomedical science environments.
• Confident discussing technical products and laboratory workflows.
• Experience with procurement processes and tender submissions.
• Ability to work independently, manage a territory and build trusted relationships.
• Clear communication skills and a practical, solutions‑focused approach.
