HR Generalist – Employee Relations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a focus on Employee Relations to join a fast‑growing organisation in Dublin. You will act as the trusted People partner for a high‑pressure, customer‑facing business area, handling complex ER cases and supporting managers to improve engagement, retention and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and appeals.
• Coach managers on best practice, employment legislation and HR policy.
• Analyse ER trends and provide data‑driven insights to mitigate risk.
• Oversee HR queries, absence management, performance processes and onboarding.
• Maintain accurate HR data across systems and payroll.
• Deliver regular reports on attrition, retention, absence and engagement.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning, capability development and engagement initiatives.
• Support recruitment for key roles and contribute to broader people programmes.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years of HR experience with strong exposure to employee and industrial relations.
• Proven ability to manage complex ER cases independently.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation (qualification desirable).
• Experience in fast‑paced, operational environments.
• Highly analytical with a data‑driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable in a changing environment.
