HR Generalist – Employee Relations & Recruitment

About the role

We are seeking an HR Generalist to join a values‑focused organisation in Cork. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will deliver a full suite of HR services, supporting managers and employees across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted HR partner for managers and team leads.
• Manage employee‑relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and conflict resolution.
• Provide clear HR advice in line with Irish employment legislation.
• Own end‑to‑end recruitment processes: liaise with hiring managers, define job requirements, coordinate interviews and prepare contracts.
• Support the employee life‑cycle – onboarding, performance management and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Present HR updates and insights to stakeholders and attend relevant meetings.
• Identify and contribute to improvements in HR processes and initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar HR Generalist or HR Officer role.
• Strong track record handling employee‑relations matters independently.
• Hands‑on experience managing recruitment from start to finish.
• Solid knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude.
