About the role
This is a 1‑year fixed‑term opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join a large national organisation in Cork. Working in a hybrid model (2 days onsite, 3 days remote), you will support business leaders with people strategies across the full employee lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for assigned business functions, covering talent management, organisational design, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, learning & development and exit processes.
- Partner with Senior HR Business Partners to implement local HR strategy and policies, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with managers on workforce planning, headcount forecasting and skills development.
- Provide trusted HR advice, ensuring fairness, consistency and best practice.
- Prepare and deliver people‑related reports and insights for decision‑making.
- Support organisational change initiatives and occupational health and wellbeing programmes.
- Monitor employee engagement sentiment and intervene early where required.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement of HR processes and ways of working.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of generalist HR experience covering multiple lifecycle stages.
- Relevant third‑level qualification; CIPD membership is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment law (advantageous).
- Excellent relationship‑building and influencing abilities.
- Analytical and problem‑solving mindset with a focus on solutions.
- Experience supporting organisational change and business transformation.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a large, regulated or complex organisation is a distinct advantage.
