Incoming QA Manufacturing Inspector

About the role

Alcon is seeking an Incoming QA Manufacturing Inspector to join its quality team. You will ensure that raw materials, components, and finished products meet strict specifications and regulatory standards, supporting the company’s mission to deliver brilliant vision solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials and components for compliance with specifications.
• Proofread packaging and labeling, coordinate chemical, microbiological, and functional testing.
• Maintain material status, release to inventory, and inspection records using material management software.
• Prepare and administer certification tests and manage non‑conforming material reviews.
• Identify, investigate, and disposition non‑conformities, leading root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Administer the Material Review Board (MRB) process and track data trends.
• Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and support validation and process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum Leaving Cert or equivalent; preferably a certificate or diploma in a quality‑related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a quality, technical, or manufacturing role; 2 years preferred in medical device or pharmaceutical QA.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with material management software.
• Basic data entry and elementary statistical analysis (averages, deviation ranges).
• Root‑cause analysis tools and techniques.
