About the role
Launch your mining career with a 10‑week Industrial Trainee Program at Newmont PNG’s world‑class Lihir operation. As part of the Young Talent Program you will work alongside industry experts on real projects, gaining practical experience in a dynamic mining environment. The program starts on 30 November 2026 and applications close on 4 October 2026.
Required profile
- University students in their 2nd or 3rd year of study.
- Disciplines: Applied Science/Chemistry, Mineral Processing (Metallurgy), Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Health & Safety Engineering (preferably Chemical Engineering).
