Information Technology Executive

About the role

The Information Technology Executive ensures the reliability, performance, and availability of retail technology across all store locations. This role is pivotal in maintaining seamless point‑of‑sale operations, supporting payment solutions, and delivering a superior customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for POS systems, payment terminals, receipt printers, cash drawers, and related retail hardware.
• Monitor POS uptime, troubleshoot incidents, and coordinate vendor escalations.
• Support store openings, refurbishments, relocations, and technology rollouts.
• Maintain store networks, Wi‑Fi, VPN, PCs, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
• Manage IT incidents within SLA targets and keep accurate documentation.
• Maintain IT asset registers and software licensing records.
• Support cybersecurity, backups, disaster recovery, and compliance activities.
• Assist with testing and implementation of new retail technology initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL are advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience supporting IT in a retail environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and travel between stores.
