Information Technology Support Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Information Technology Support Engineer to join their internal IT team on a permanent basis. You will provide first‑ and second‑line technical assistance to users across several locations, maintain core infrastructure, and ensure business‑critical services run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first and second‑line support for end‑users, meeting agreed service levels.
• Manage, prioritize and resolve incidents and service requests from the IT Service Desk.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Azure AD and on‑premises AD.
• Configure, deploy and maintain hardware, software and peripherals according to company standards.
• Manage endpoint devices through Microsoft Intune, handling enrollment, configuration and compliance.
• Support Windows desktop environments, email, printers and a range of business applications.
• Assist with SharePoint Online, OneDrive and other collaboration platforms.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides and operational procedures.
• Install and support specialist software applications as required.
• Provision and support mobile devices on iOS and Android platforms.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and support backup and business‑continuity processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT Service Desk, Desktop Support or IT Support Engineer role.
• Strong background supporting Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (hybrid environments a plus).
• Experience administering Microsoft Intune and managing endpoint devices.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Office applications.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
