Injection Moulding Engineer

About the role

The Injection Moulding Engineer supports the development and implementation of production and processing methods to meet quality standards efficiently for both new and existing moulding processes. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving quality issues while ensuring compliance with GMP and cleanroom requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Introduce new tools: conduct tool trials, set‑up, qualification runs and handover to production.
• Assist in design, debugging, and automation of new systems and tooling.
• Prepare and complete IQ, OQ, PQ validation reports.
• Design experiments to improve yields, reduce cycle time and optimise set‑ups.
• Serve as front‑line liaison with customers, suppliers and toolmakers.
• Maintain moulding process documentation, control sheets and deviation records.
• Troubleshoot processes and support Team Leaders as needed.
• Coordinate daily with tool room, maintenance, production and quality teams.
• Develop and implement maintenance programmes for moulding equipment.
• Support safety, quality and GMP initiatives across the site.

Required profile

• Degree in Polymer or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years experience in a high‑volume moulding environment.
• Experience with cleanroom procedures and medical moulding.
• Familiarity with process set‑up, validation and process window studies (IQ, OQ, PQ).
