Internal Audit Manager

About the role

Primark is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join its Finance function at the International Headquarters in Dublin. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will provide independent assurance on governance, risk management and controls across store operations, retail processes and customer‑facing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, scope and deliver risk‑based internal audits across Primark’s operations.
• Conduct robust risk assessments and define clear audit objectives.
• Lead fieldwork, supervise audit team members and ensure evidence‑based conclusions.
• Prepare insightful audit reports with practical, risk‑focused recommendations.
• Act as the primary audit contact for business area management, holding opening, closing and issue‑clearance meetings.
• Maintain KPI reporting for assigned business areas.
• Lead and coach auditors, reviewing workpapers to ensure compliance with methodology and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit within a retail or fast‑moving consumer environment.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and control frameworks.
• Ability to build effective relationships while maintaining audit independence.
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities.
