Senior Manager – International Tax (FDI)

About the role

PwC’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) team in Dublin is seeking a Senior Manager to lead international tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of multinational clients. You will work within Ireland’s largest dedicated international tax practice, advising on Irish and cross‑border tax matters and helping clients optimise their investment structures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex international tax projects for FDI clients across sectors such as technology, pharmaceuticals, retail and manufacturing.
• Analyse client business models, identify tax optimisation opportunities and develop innovative solutions aligned with economic and regulatory realities.
• Manage client relationships, build professional networks and identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with partners, other tax specialists and cross‑functional teams to provide holistic advice.
• Mentor and train junior and senior staff, fostering a learning culture within the practice.
• Participate in secondments to Irish clients or PwC US offices to broaden international exposure.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with extensive experience in international tax and FDI matters.
• Proven track record of managing senior‑level client engagements and delivering high‑quality advice.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and developing junior team members.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Irish tax legislation and EU/US cross‑border tax principles.
• Experience with tax structuring for multinational enterprises and investment projects.
• Ability to interpret and apply international tax treaties and transfer pricing rules.
