IT Field Engineer

About the role

The IT Field Engineer will join Ergo’s established field support team, delivering on‑site installation, configuration and maintenance for a range of client sites across Ireland. The role involves travelling to multiple locations, ensuring hardware and software solutions are deployed efficiently and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Install and image PCs and laptops, configure IP settings and join devices to the corporate domain.
• Deploy and support virtual desktop environments using VMware.
• Set up and troubleshoot smart devices on iOS and Android platforms.
• Maintain digital radio mobile equipment and associated antenna systems.
• Provide support for control‑room infrastructure, including CCTV and related services.
• Configure desk‑based telephony, video‑conferencing and unified communications solutions.
• Perform network patching, cable management and support for networked printers and scanners.
• Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to the knowledge base.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Field Support Engineer or similar role.
• Full clean driver’s licence and own transport.
• EU passport or Stamp 4 visa with no work restrictions.
• Fluent English communication skills.
