IT Security Administrator

About the role

The ICT Security & Networks Administrator will support the Head of ICT Cyber Security & Networks in safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Agency’s data and services. Working in a hybrid on‑premise and cloud environment, the role focuses on network security management, incident response and continuous improvement of security controls.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support network security tools such as firewalls, network access management systems and content filters.
• Evaluate security of new on‑premise and cloud products and services.
• Monitor security logs, detect anomalies and investigate suspicious network activity.
• Assist with security audits, vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Maintain documentation and ticketing for incident, change and problem management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network security administration for a medium‑size organization.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Microsoft Security/Cloud) are a distinct advantage.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS.

Required skills

• LAN, WAN, DMZ, VPN and DNS technologies.
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) concepts.
• Fortinet and Checkpoint security platforms.
• Web and email content filtering, Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).
• Cloud networking and security best practices.
• Security monitoring, log analysis and vulnerability remediation.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools for incident, change and problem management.
