IT Service Desk Engineer – Hybrid

About the role

Our client, a well‑established organisation, is looking for an experienced IT Service Desk Engineer to join their internal IT team on a permanent, hybrid basis. You will provide first‑ and second‑line support, maintain core infrastructure and ensure smooth operation of business‑critical systems for users across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support for users across several business sites.
• Manage, prioritise and resolve Service Desk incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Azure AD and on‑prem AD.
• Configure, deploy and maintain end‑user hardware, software and peripherals.
• Manage endpoint devices through Microsoft Intune, ensuring enrolment, configuration and compliance.
• Support Windows desktop environments, email, printers and a range of business applications.
• Assist with SharePoint Online, OneDrive and collaboration platform administration.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides and operational procedures.
• Provision and support mobile devices on iOS and Android platforms.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and support backup and business‑continuity processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT Service Desk, Desktop Support or IT Support Engineer role.
• Strong background supporting Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory (hybrid environments desirable).
• Experience administering Microsoft Intune and managing endpoint devices.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Office applications.
• Familiarity with SharePoint Online and OneDrive.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
