IT System Administrator – Hybrid (Dublin)

About the role

This hybrid position in Dublin focuses on managing and securing the client’s IT infrastructure, both on‑premise and in the cloud. As a Level 2 System Administrator you will work closely with the existing team and external partners to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily administration of servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
• Review health‑check reports, troubleshoot issues and coordinate with managed service partners.
• Deploy Windows OS, software and patches using Autopilot, SCCM and Intune.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Monitor performance, conduct maintenance and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Install, configure and maintain security software; review security reports and act on recommendations.
• Conduct system audits for technical and physical security and handle firewall configuration changes.
• Serve as escalation point for Level 1 Service Desk and prioritize tasks effectively.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in system administration (Level 2).
• 3rd‑level IT qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience with Windows Server 2019+ and Linux, preferably in virtual environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory (on‑prem and Azure), DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and cloud environments.
