Junior Buyer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Buyer to manage purchasing and inventory planning for a portfolio of products and suppliers. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will ensure stock availability meets customer demand while keeping costs under control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory replenishment and maintain ERP data for MRP forecasting and stock planning.
• Set replenishment parameters that balance excellent customer service with optimal stock levels and costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate and coordinate stock cleanse and aged‑stock reduction initiatives.
• Monitor supplier performance, gather market intelligence, and support supplier development.
• Resolve supplier invoice and debit‑note queries efficiently.
• Handle urgent purchasing requests and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Attend supplier and operational meetings and escalate critical issues as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Buyer or Inventory Planning role.
• Experience managing a large customer or supplier base.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and under pressure.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
