Laboratory IT Specialist – 12‑Month Contract (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Laboratory IT Specialist to join a leading biopharmaceutical client in Dublin on a 12‑month contract. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site laboratory support with remote technical work. You will ensure that QC lab systems and related workflows operate efficiently and remain compliant with regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and review master/static data in current and future lab systems, following change‑management procedures.
• Support change‑control reviews, assess system impact, and implement required modifications, including interfacing with MES and trending systems.
• Execute and document change controls, verify changes made by team members, and perform verification testing.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system functionality changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase compliance and operational efficiency, such as visibility of testing queues and metric monitoring.
• Develop and maintain procedural documents (SOPs, work instructions) and associated training content.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel, IT, analytical support, and Quality Assurance to align system requirements with business needs.

Required profile

• Experience working with QC laboratory information systems in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of change‑control processes and data integrity requirements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with lab staff, IT teams, and quality professionals.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
