Lead Electrical Engineer – Design (Data Centre Projects)

About the role

Fortivum is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer (Design) to spearhead the electrical design of hyperscale data‑centre projects on the client side. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from concept and detailed design through to installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring that power systems meet mission‑critical performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and approve electrical designs for all project phases, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for high‑voltage/low‑voltage (HV/LV) distribution, UPS systems, generators and overall power distribution networks.
• Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including civil, mechanical and IT—to deliver integrated, on‑time solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical interface with clients, contractors and other stakeholders, addressing queries and driving decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices and support continuous technical excellence within the design team.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience on large‑scale or mission‑critical projects, preferably data‑centre environments.
• Proven track record of leading electrical design and coordination activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
