Lead Guild Security Engineer

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Guild Security Engineer to join the Business Security Enablement (BSE) team. In this senior position you will guide global, cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring security is embedded in the design and delivery of applications and services.

Key responsibilities

• Advise product and operational teams on secure design practices and industry best‑practice standards.
• Lead security reviews for large, complex, global initiatives and ensure compliance with Mastercard security policies.
• Document enhancements to security standards, procedures and present technical findings to stakeholders.
• Provide direction to program security engineers and market‑facing programs on security review processes.
• Collaborate with the BSEG Guild to align security strategies across the organization.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in information security and secure engineering disciplines.
• Proven ability to influence and lead multi‑disciplinary teams in a global environment.
• Strong communication skills for business and technical presentations.
• Track record of delivering security solutions for large‑scale initiatives.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of security principles, theories and concepts.
• Experience with security standards and procedures development.
• Ability to assess and mitigate cyber and physical threats.
