Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Rural Phase Coordinator (Medical)

About the role

This part‑time position (3.5 hrs/week) is based at the Rural Clinical Campus in Albury, NSW. The successful candidate will join the medical school faculty to deliver high‑quality undergraduate medical education and coordinate a designated phase of the program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess curriculum content for the assigned phase of the undergraduate medicine program.
• Coordinate clinical placements, student support services, and assessment activities.
• Develop and implement rurally focused learning activities and support local research projects.
• Collaborate with Local Health Districts, Primary Health Networks, and faculty colleagues to enhance rural medical education.
• For senior level appointments, provide leadership in curriculum development, innovation in teaching practice, and mentorship to staff and students.

Required profile

• Medical degree (BMedMD, MBBS or equivalent) with Fellowship of a Specialist Medical College and current NSW registration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in teaching clinical medicine and use of educational technologies.
• Experience supervising and coordinating clinical education programs and student assessments.
• For senior level, proven leadership, module convenorship, and committee experience.

• Academic Level B or C remuneration ($133,065‑$161,619 pro rata) plus 17% superannuation and clinical loading.
• Fixed‑term contract until 30 June 2027.
