About the role
The Legal & Secretarial Compliance Manager will oversee the hospital’s legal affairs, ensure statutory compliance, and mitigate legal risk across all operations. This senior position supports the leadership team in governance, risk management, and regulatory matters.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate and maintain contracts, agreements and MOUs, ensuring legal compliance and risk mitigation.
- Support corporate governance by maintaining statutory registers, board and committee documentation.
- Identify legal and regulatory risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement risk‑management policies.
- Manage litigation, arbitration and coordinate with external counsel.
- Protect and manage the hospital’s intellectual property, including registrations and renewals.
- Monitor regulatory compliance for healthcare settings, liaise with authorities, and oversee licensing, audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, review employment contracts and address employee‑related legal issues.
- Oversee secretarial compliance, maintain statutory records and support company secretaries.
Required profile
- LLB/LLM and CS qualification.
- 6‑8 years of legal and compliance experience in a hospital environment.
- Strong knowledge of hospital statutes, labour laws and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
