Legal Support Officer – Assistant Vice President

About the role
Citi’s Quality Review Team in Dublin is seeking a Legal Support Officer at the Assistant Vice President level to strengthen its Regulatory Requirements & Obligations (RRO) function. You will work closely with the Head of Quality Review, providing legal and compliance insight across the bank’s regulatory processes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct independent research and analysis of legal matters, applying knowledge of laws, rules and regulations to formulate recommendations.
- Support performance management activities and contribute to feedback collation and performance metric analysis.
- Apply an in‑depth understanding of product‑specific risks across jurisdictions and advise the Risk function and business partners.
- Contribute to team planning, development initiatives and ad‑hoc regulatory projects.
- Participate in data sourcing, analysis and reporting tasks related to quality reviews.
Required profile
- Strong legal and/or compliance background within financial services.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
- Proven capability to manage complex projects in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and relevant industry experience, preferably in an in‑house legal role.
- Experience leading compliance reviews or audit work is desirable but not essential.
Required skills
- Python (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel (formulas, functions, pivots) and Outlook.
- Strong IT skills and ability to manage complex documentation with attention to detail.
