LIMS Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a LIMS Specialist to join a leading multinational pharmaceutical organisation in Tipperary. The role focuses on supporting static data management, change requests, configuration validation and user support within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) platform.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for site‑based LIMS users, including laboratories and IPT areas.
• Process change controls and implement approved configuration changes in accordance with controlled change‑management procedures.
• Perform dynamic data corrections, data extraction, reporting and support LIMS‑related investigations.
• Collaborate with distributed teams in Ireland, Pune (India) and global support groups (SAP, Instrumentation, Empower) to assess impact and drive changes.
• Prepare technical assessments, generate system requirements and manage changes through their lifecycle in the electronic repository.
• Maintain static data standardisation and process harmonisation across the global LIMS network.
• Support acceptance testing, review test protocols and confirm requirements, design and build.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of LIMS procedures and global data standards.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, distributed team environment and communicate effectively.
• Experience assessing impact of LIMS changes on other functional areas and anticipating risks.
• Proven capability to prioritise changes, meet target dates and overcome obstacles.

Required skills

• Labware LIMS expertise
• Knowledge of SAP integration
• Familiarity with Empower software
• Experience with Acceptance Testing procedures
